The DYNABRADE X52V is a pneumatic random orbital sander built for surface finishing on metal, wood, composites, and painted surfaces. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi and consuming 19 CFM, it delivers 12,000 orbits per minute through a 5-inch round hook-and-loop backing pad. The 3/32-inch orbit diameter keeps swirl patterns tight, making it well-suited for fine finishing and prep work. At 1.74 pounds, it is light enough for extended overhead or vertical work. The 1/4 NPT inlet connects to standard shop air lines with a minimum 0.25-inch hose. Output is rated at 0.3 horsepower. Licensed HVAC techs, body technicians, metalworkers, and finishing tradespeople are the primary installers of this tool.
The X52V fits residential and commercial finishing applications where a consistent random orbital scratch pattern is required. It is commonly used in autobody prep, metal fabrication, cabinetry, and general industrial surface conditioning. The integrated vacuum port allows connection to a dust extraction system, making it appropriate for enclosed or indoor work environments where airborne particulate must be controlled. The hook-and-loop pad accepts standard 5-inch abrasive discs available from most abrasive suppliers.
Designed for use with standard 5-inch hook-and-loop abrasive discs. Compatible with compressed air supply systems providing a minimum 90 psi and 19 CFM through a minimum 0.25-inch supply hose with a 1/4 NPT fitting.
Connection and operation should be performed by personnel familiar with pneumatic tool safety and applicable OSHA standards for abrasive tools. Before attaching or changing abrasive discs, shut off air supply and bleed the line to eliminate residual pressure. Verify that the air supply meets the minimum CFM and psi requirements before use to avoid tool damage or reduced performance. Do not exceed the rated air pressure of 90 psi.
