The DYNABRADE RB1 is a pneumatic right-angle buffer designed for surface finishing, polishing, and buffing applications. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi, it runs at a no-load speed of 2800 RPM and accepts pads from 5 to 8 inches in diameter via a 5/8-11 spindle thread. Air consumption is 7 SCFM, making it compatible with most shop compressor setups. The tool features a soft-grip handle and a lightweight, compact body at 2.5 inches in overall length. It is intended for use by auto body technicians, finish carpenters, detailers, and industrial maintenance professionals who require consistent rotary buffing performance from a portable pneumatic tool.
The RB1 is well suited for paint correction, wax application, and surface preparation tasks in automotive, woodworking, and light industrial environments. Its right-angle handle geometry gives the operator direct pad contact control on flat and curved panels. The rear exhaust routes spent air away from the work surface, reducing contamination of freshly buffed finishes. The 5/8-11 spindle accepts a wide range of commercially available foam, wool, and microfiber buffing pads, making it straightforward to adapt to different surface compounds and finishes.
Designed for use with standard 5/8-11 threaded buffing pads ranging from 5 to 8 inches in diameter. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering 7 SCFM at 90 psi.
Connection to the air supply should be made using a 3/8 inch NPT fitting; ensure the air line is depressurized before attaching or removing the tool. Verify the compressor output meets the 7 SCFM at 90 psi requirement before operation to prevent motor stall or reduced performance. Thread buffing pads onto the 5/8-11 spindle by hand until snug before applying power. Follow all applicable workplace safety guidelines for pneumatic tools, including eye protection and secure workpiece clamping.
