The DYNABRADE 59023 is a pneumatic palm-style random orbital sander designed for surface preparation, finishing, and sanding applications in production and fabrication environments. It accepts a 5-inch round urethane-backed sanding pad and operates at up to 12,000 orbits per minute (OPM) with a 0.1875-inch (5 mm) orbit diameter. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi with a 1/4-inch NPT inlet, the tool requires a minimum air hose size of 0.25 inches and consumes 14 CFM at operating pressure. At 1.5 pounds, the lightweight palm grip reduces operator fatigue during extended use. A licensed HVAC tech, auto body tech, or industrial finisher will find this tool suited to consistent finish work.
The 59023 is used in automotive body shops, metal fabrication facilities, woodworking operations, and general industrial finishing where a fine, swirl-pattern finish is required. The integrated vacuum port allows connection to a dust collection system, making it appropriate for enclosed work areas and environments with dust-control requirements. The included premium urethane weight-mated sanding pad is designed to provide even pressure distribution across the full 5-inch surface.
Designed for use with standard 5-inch round hook-and-loop or PSA sanding discs. Compatible with compressed-air systems delivering a minimum 0.25-inch hose and 90 psi supply pressure.
Connect to a clean, dry compressed-air supply regulated to 90 psi using a 1/4-inch NPT fitting and a minimum 0.25-inch diameter air hose. Verify the air supply is shut off and the line is depressurized before attaching or removing the sanding pad or any accessories. If connecting to a vacuum system, ensure the dust collection hose is rated for the tool inlet size before operation. Follow applicable shop safety and respiratory protection guidelines when sanding coated or composite materials.
