The DYNABRADE 59005 is a pneumatic palm-style random orbital sander built for surface finishing, paint preparation, and material stock removal in production and maintenance environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psig operating pressure, it spins a 5-inch round urethane-mated sanding pad at up to 12,000 OPM. The 0.375-inch orbit diameter provides a smooth, swirl-minimized finish suitable for automotive body work, woodworking, and metal fabrication. At 1.4 pounds, the tool reduces fatigue during extended use. Air consumption is 14 CFM through a 1/4 NPT inlet, requiring a minimum 0.25-inch supply hose. Installation and operation fall within standard compressed-air tool practices for professional finishing trades.
The 59005 is designed for professional use in body shops, fabrication facilities, and industrial maintenance settings where consistent random orbital action is required on flat or gently curved surfaces. It accepts 5-inch hook-and-loop or PSA-backed abrasive discs matched to the included premium urethane weight-mated sanding pad. The tool is well-suited for operators working in moderate-to-high production environments where air supply infrastructure is already in place. It does not include integrated vacuum capability, so use with a separate dust-extraction shroud or in a ventilated area is standard practice.

Installation and setup should be performed by personnel familiar with pneumatic tool connections and shop-air system requirements. Verify the supply line delivers clean, dry, lubricated air consistent with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.243 guidelines for pneumatic tools. Do not exceed the rated 90 psig operating pressure, and ensure the hose and fittings are rated for the working pressure before use.
