The DYNABRADE 58410 is a palm-style air-powered random orbital sander built for surface finishing applications requiring consistent scratch patterns and low operator fatigue. It runs at 10,000 orbits per minute (OPM) and draws 23 CFM at 90 psi operating pressure through a 1/4 NPT inlet. The tool ships with a premium urethane weight-mated sanding pad matched to the 8-inch round backing. At 4 pounds, it is light enough for extended overhead or vertical panel work. The 0.45 HP motor delivers enough torque for aggressive stock removal while staying manageable in a single-hand grip. Pneumatic technicians, autobody finishers, and industrial surface prep crews are the primary installers and operators.
The 58410 is suited for large flat and low-contour surfaces where an 8-inch pad offers faster coverage than smaller-diameter tools. Typical applications include automotive bodywork, wood panel finishing, composite fabrication, and metal surface prep prior to coating. The random orbital action with a 0.1875-inch (5 mm) orbit diameter minimizes swirl marks and produces a fine, uniform finish. The tool connects to a standard shop air supply and requires a minimum hose inside diameter of 0.38 inches to maintain adequate flow at the rated 23 CFM demand. No vacuum shroud is included.
Designed for use with 8-inch round sanding discs and compatible pneumatic air supply systems delivering at least 23 CFM at 90 psi. Minimum supply hose inside diameter of 0.38 inches is required for rated performance.
Installation and pad changes should be performed with the air supply disconnected at the quick-connect fitting. A licensed or experienced pneumatic tool technician should verify that the supply line meets the minimum hose size and CFM requirements before operation. Follow the tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable OSHA abrasive tool safety standards when mounting sanding discs or changing pads. Do not exceed the rated operating pressure of 90 psi.
