The DYNABRADE 52668 is a straight air die grinder designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing in industrial and trade environments. Powered by compressed air at 90 psi, it delivers up to 18,000 RPM through a 1/4 inch collet, making it well-suited for detailed metalwork, weld cleanup, and port work. The lever throttle gives the operator direct speed control during use. Rear exhaust directs airflow away from the workpiece, keeping the work area clear of debris and reducing operator fatigue on extended jobs. At 2.2 pounds, it is light enough for sustained one-handed use in confined spaces.
This grinder is used in metal fabrication shops, automotive repair, aerospace maintenance, and general industrial settings where controlled material removal is required. It fits standard air supply lines running at 90 psi and accepts a range of carbide burrs, mounted points, and grinding wheels via its 1/4 inch collet. The compact straight-body profile allows access to tight areas that larger angle grinders cannot reach. It is typically installed and operated by machinists, pipefitters, welders, and maintenance technicians working on metal components.
Accepts the included 1/4 inch collet insert (50013) and is compatible with optional collet inserts: 1/8 inch (50065), 3/8 inch (50014), 6 mm (50016), and 8 mm (50039). Designed for use with standard 90 psi compressed air supply lines common in industrial and shop environments.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tooling and applicable shop safety standards. Always disconnect the air supply line before changing collets or accessories. Verify that the air line pressure does not exceed the rated 90 psi operating pressure before connecting the tool. Inspect the collet and accessory for damage before each use, and ensure all accessories are rated for the tool speed.
