The DURAVENT 4PVL-36R is a double wall, air-insulated pellet vent pipe section engineered for venting pellet-burning stoves and inserts in both residential and light commercial applications. The pipe measures 4 inches inner diameter by 36 inches in length, with a 4.5-inch outer diameter. The inner wall is constructed from .012-inch Super Ferritic stainless steel, while the outer wall uses .018-inch laser-welded Galvalume for corrosion resistance. Fully unitized twist-lock construction speeds up installation and ensures a secure, repeatable connection. This pipe section is UL Listed with a 3-inch clearance to combustibles rating, valid in both the USA and Canada.
This pellet vent pipe section is designed specifically for stoves and inserts that burn wood pellets. It supports both vertical and horizontal vent runs, giving installers flexibility in routing. It is required for venting pellet appliances installed at elevations above 4,000 feet, where standard venting may not perform adequately. HVAC technicians and certified chimney or hearth professionals typically handle installation in new construction and retrofit scenarios alike. Each package contains 2 units.
Designed for use with pellet-burning stoves and inserts that require 4-inch pellet vent systems. Approved for use in the USA and Canada per UL Listing. Required for venting pellet appliances installed above 4,000 feet elevation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or certified hearth professional in accordance with the appliance manufacturer instructions and applicable local codes. Shut down and fully cool the appliance before servicing or extending any vent run. Maintain the required 3-inch clearance to combustibles at all points along the vent path as specified by the UL Listing. Follow the twist-lock engagement procedure for each joint to ensure a gas-tight connection before restoring appliance operation.
