The DURAVENT 0712PI is a double wall air-insulated B-vent round rigid pipe section measuring 7 inches in diameter and 12 inches in length. Designed for extending vent runs in Category I gas appliance systems, this pipe section safely exhausts flue gases from naturally drafting appliances such as gas furnaces, boilers, and water heaters. The double wall air-insulated construction maintains flue gas temperature while keeping the outer wall cooler to the touch, supporting proper draft and reducing condensation risk. Installation is accomplished via twist-lock connections, allowing sections to join securely without additional tools in most configurations. HVAC technicians and plumbers working on gas appliance venting systems are the primary installers of this component.
The 0712PI is suited for residential and light commercial gas appliance venting applications where Category I B-vent systems are specified. It functions as a straight pipe extension within a larger vent assembly, used in vertical or near-vertical vent runs. This section is compatible with other DVP series B-vent components and is appropriate for use on gas furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and other Category I appliances that require Type B gas vent material.
Designed for use within Category I Type B gas vent systems. Compatible with other DVP series B-vent components of matching diameter. Consult the full DVP series line for elbows, tees, and termination caps that mate with this pipe section.
Installation of B-vent pipe sections should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with the appliance manufacturer instructions and applicable codes, including the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) and local amendments. Shut off the gas supply and allow the appliance to cool completely before servicing or extending an existing vent run. Ensure all twist-lock joints are fully engaged and that the vent system maintains the required clearances to combustibles as specified by the pipe manufacturer and applicable code. Do not use B-vent pipe in applications requiring Category II, III, or IV venting.
