The DURA PLASTIC PVC80T3 is a Schedule 80 PVC tee fitting with a three-way socket (S x S x S) configuration in a 3-inch size. Built from rigid PVC to Schedule 80 wall-thickness standards, it delivers greater pressure capacity and wall strength than Schedule 40 alternatives. This fitting is used to branch off a main run of pipe at a 90-degree lateral, making it a standard component in pressure piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install it wherever a durable, chemical-resistant thermoplastic tee connection is required.
The PVC80T3 is suited for residential and commercial pressure piping applications including potable water supply, irrigation, industrial process lines, and chemical distribution systems where PVC is a code-approved material. The socket ends accept solvent-cement joints, providing a permanent, leak-free connection without threading. Its heavy-wall Schedule 80 construction makes it appropriate for higher-pressure service conditions compared to standard Schedule 40 fittings of the same nominal size.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 80 PVC pressure piping systems using 3-inch nominal pipe with socket-style solvent-cement joints.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Depressurize and drain the system fully before cutting into an existing line. Use a PVC-compatible primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not apply heat to seat or adjust the fitting.
