The DURA PLASTIC PVC80BUSHSPS134 is a flush socket reducer bushing manufactured from PVC Schedule 80 material. It transitions a 1-inch female socket connection down to a 3/4-inch male spigot connection, with the spigot end fitting directly into a standard socket on the mating fitting. The flush design keeps the bushing seated cleanly inside the receiving socket without protruding. Schedule 80 PVC construction provides thicker walls and higher pressure ratings than Schedule 40, making this fitting suitable for demanding water distribution and chemical handling systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and pool and irrigation technicians are the typical installers.
This bushing is used in residential and commercial PVC piping systems where a pipe or fitting size reduction from 1 inch to 3/4 inch is required. Common applications include potable water supply lines, pool and spa circulation plumbing, irrigation mainlines, and industrial chemical conveyance where PVC is an approved material. The spigot by socket (Spg x S) end configuration allows the bushing to be inserted into a 1-inch socket on a tee, elbow, or coupling, while a 3/4-inch pipe or fitting slips into the opposite end.

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use a purpose-formulated PVC primer and Schedule 80-rated solvent cement, applying per the cement manufacturer's instructions for proper cure time before returning the system to service. Do not use this fitting in systems conveying fluids or at temperatures outside the published ratings for Schedule 80 PVC.
