The DURA PLASTIC PVC80BUSHSPS11434 is a flush socket reducer bushing manufactured from Schedule 80 PVC. It transitions a 1-1/4 inch line down to a 3/4 inch connection using a spigot inlet and a socket outlet. Schedule 80 PVC carries a thicker wall than Schedule 40, making it the standard choice in industrial, chemical, and high-pressure plumbing applications where added pressure rating and mechanical strength are required. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting when reducing pipe size within a run without adding significant length to the assembly.
This reducer bushing is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, irrigation systems, chemical distribution lines, and industrial process piping where PVC Schedule 80 fittings are specified. The spigot end inserts directly into a standard Schedule 80 socket fitting, keeping the overall assembly compact. The socket end accepts 3/4 inch Schedule 80 pipe or a spigot fitting. It is a dry-fit compatible design, solvent-welded during installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVC piping systems requiring a 1-1/4 inch to 3/4 inch spigot-by-socket reduction.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Before installation, shut off and depressurize the affected line completely. Clean and deburr pipe ends, apply PVC primer where required by code, then join with a listed PVC Schedule 80 solvent cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before returning the system to service.
