The DURA PLASTIC PVC8045L3 is a 3-inch Schedule 80 PVC socket-by-socket 45-degree elbow designed for pressure piping systems in industrial, commercial, and mechanical applications. Schedule 80 wall thickness gives this fitting greater pressure capacity and impact resistance compared to Schedule 40, making it the preferred choice where elevated system pressures or physical protection are required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in systems conveying water, mild chemicals, and other fluids compatible with PVC. The socket ends accept standard 3-inch PVC pipe for solvent-cement joining.
This elbow is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, irrigation, chemical processing lines, and industrial fluid handling where a 45-degree directional change is needed. The Schedule 80 gray PVC construction handles higher operating pressures than standard white Schedule 40 fittings, making it a common choice in mechanical rooms, pump stations, and above-grade exposed piping where added wall strength matters. It is compatible with standard 3-inch Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC pipe joined by solvent cement.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for use with standard 3-inch Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC pipe systems joined by solvent cement.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for solvent-cementing PVC pressure fittings. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into existing piping. Use the correct PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring system pressure. Do not use this fitting with threaded connections or adhesives not rated for PVC pressure service.
