The DURA PLASTIC PVC40TRED22112 is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing tee fitting designed for pressure and drain piping applications. It features a 2-inch by 2-inch by 1-1/2-inch configuration with slip connections on all three ports, allowing solvent-weld installation with standard PVC cement. Schedule 40 wall thickness provides reliable pressure ratings suited to residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, and pool or spa circulation systems. Plumbers and pipe fitters install this fitting wherever a branch takeoff at a reduced diameter is required in a PVC piping run.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, pool and spa plumbing, irrigation distribution, and industrial process piping where PVC Schedule 40 is specified. The 1-1/2-inch branch outlet accommodates a smaller lateral line while the 2-inch run-through ports maintain full mainline flow capacity. It is a direct fit wherever a reducing branch connection is needed within a Schedule 40 PVC system using solvent-weld slip joints.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with Schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings in residential and commercial plumbing, pool, spa, and irrigation systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipe fitters. Before cutting into an existing line, shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely. Clean and dry all mating surfaces, then apply PVC primer followed by solvent cement per the cement manufacturer's instructions and applicable plumbing code requirements. Allow full cure time before pressurizing the system.
