Cammed louvers pivot freely to reduce sticking, a common failure point on standard flap-style hoods. The cap assembly snaps directly onto aluminum pipe, eliminating the need for lint-trapping staples at the connection joint. UV-resistant polypropylene construction protects the hood from sun degradation over time. A molded caulk edge is built into the perimeter to help installers achieve a clean, finished seal at the wall penetration. This hood is installed by HVAC technicians, sheet metal contractors, and plumbers handling dryer or bath exhaust terminations.
The LH4BXZ is suited for residential exhaust vent terminations where a 4-inch duct exits through an exterior wall or soffit. It is compatible with standard 4-inch round aluminum exhaust pipe and is designed to snap on and off J-channel trim for simplified installation and future replacement without damaging the surrounding siding.
