The DUMONT MINUTE MAN 33315 is a Style B collared broach bushing used to guide rotary broaches during precision hole-finishing operations in metal workpieces. The bushing measures 5/8 inch in diameter and 1-11/16 inches in length. The collared design holds the bushing securely in the fixture or workholder, preventing axial movement during the broaching stroke. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this bushing when a guided, repeatable broach pass is required for producing keyways, splines, or other internal profiles.
This bushing is suited for use in machine shops, production toolrooms, and maintenance facilities where rotary or push broaching is performed on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The Style B designation indicates the specific collar and shank geometry required to match compatible broach sets and workholders designed around that standard. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both low-volume prototype work and repetitive production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or supplemental component for workholders and broaching fixtures that accept Style B collared broach bushings with a 5/8 inch diameter.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the workholder or fixture is fully de-energized and the broaching press is in a safe, locked-out state before inserting or removing bushings. Press the bushing squarely into the fixture bore to avoid cocking or galling the collar seat. Do not force a bushing into an undersized bore; verify fixture bore tolerances match the bushing specification before installation.
