The DUCTMATE cmfga is a galvanized steel Cornermatic TDF (Transverse Duct Flange) corner fitting used in rectangular sheet metal ductwork assembly. It seats at the corner joints of TDF-flanged duct sections, locking the flange system together to form a tight, secure connection at each 90-degree corner. HVAC sheet metal mechanics install this fitting during new duct fabrication or duct replacement work. At 4 inches by 4 inches and weighing 1 pound, it is sized for standard TDF flange profiles. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suited to both supply and return air applications.
This corner fitting is used in commercial and residential HVAC ductwork systems that use the TDF or snap-lock transverse flange connection method. It is installed at each corner of a rectangular duct section before the duct sections are joined and clipped together. Typical applications include rooftop unit duct connections, air handler distribution systems, and interior ceiling plenum duct runs where TDF-flanged rectangular duct is the specified joining method.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard supply fitting for rectangular sheet metal ductwork assemblies using the Cornermatic TDF transverse duct flange connection system.
Installation is performed by licensed sheet metal mechanics or HVAC technicians following SMACNA duct construction standards. Power down the air handling system before working on connected duct sections. Corner fittings are seated into the TDF flange at each corner of the duct section prior to joining duct segments with flange clips or drive cleats. Do not force or deform the corner tab, as improper seating will compromise the air seal at the joint.
