The DRILL ROD TOOL STEELS 66812 is an O1 oil-hardening tool steel flat bar used in precision toolmaking, jig and fixture fabrication, and custom cutting tool applications. Measuring 5/32 inches thick, 1 inch wide, and 36 inches long, this flat stock is manufactured to AISI Type O1 specification and held to tight dimensional tolerances: plus or minus 0.001 inches on thickness, plus 0.005 inches on width, and plus 0.5 inches on length. At 1.61 pounds per piece, it is a practical bench stock size for machine shops and tool and die operations. O1 tool steel offers good machinability in the annealed state and hardens well with an oil quench.

This flat stock is suited for use in low-to-medium production tooling where oil-hardening steel is specified. Common applications include punches, dies, gauges, cutting tools, and precision fixtures.
