The DOTCO 12L2718-36 is a pneumatic angle die grinder built for metal removal, deburring, porting, and surface finishing in industrial and trade environments. It delivers 0.9 horsepower at 18,000 RPM, drawing 38 CFM at 90 psi operating pressure. The 90-degree angle head and lever throttle give technicians precise control in tight or recessed work areas where inline tools cannot reach. Rear exhaust directs air away from the work surface, reducing debris scatter and keeping the operator's line of sight clear. This grinder accepts a 1/4-inch collet, the standard size for carbide burrs, mounted points, and grinding stones used in fabrication and finishing work.
The 12L2718-36 is suited for metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, automotive and aerospace assembly, and general industrial grinding tasks. The angle handle configuration makes it especially practical for die work, mold finishing, and weld blending in confined cavities. It is typically installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, millwrights, and experienced maintenance personnel working on production or field service equipment.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch shank carbide burrs, mounted abrasive points, and grinding stones. Compatible with any compressed air supply capable of delivering 90 psi with adequate volume through a 1/4-inch NPT inlet fitting.
Connection and tool changes should be performed by a qualified technician with the air supply fully depressurized and the inlet line disconnected. Verify shop air is regulated to 90 psi before operation — overpressure above the rated maximum can increase speed beyond safe limits and void certifications. Inspect collet and collet nut for wear before each tooling change, and ensure mounted accessories are rated at or above the tool's free speed. Always use appropriate eye protection, hearing protection, and gloves when operating pneumatic grinding equipment.
