The DORIAN TOOL 73310195437 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for precision material removal in milling operations. Built to ANSI and ISO designation TDEX-110208-XDEN-DNP10HM, this triangular insert features a PVD coating with the DNP10HM chip breaker geometry and a K10 material grade. It measures 11 mm (0.4331 inches) across with a thickness of 0.094 inches (2.39 mm) and a corner radius of 0.030 inches (0.76 mm). With a positive rake angle and 15-degree relief angle, this insert is suited for achieving clean cuts and controlled chip formation in demanding milling applications. Installation and replacement are performed by licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This insert is primarily engineered for milling cast iron workpieces, consistent with its K-grade carbide classification and DNP chip breaker design. The neutral hand orientation makes it adaptable across compatible TDEX-series toolholders. It is intended for use in environments where consistent surface finish and tool life in hard, abrasive ferrous materials are required. The single-sided configuration and screw-holding method provide secure, repeatable seating in the toolholder pocket. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and contour milling of cast iron components.
Designed for use with TDEX-series screw-lock milling toolholders accepting an 11 mm triangular insert with a 0.1118-inch hole diameter and 0.094-inch thickness. Refer to the ANSI/ISO code TDEX-110208-XDEN-DNP10HM when cross-referencing toolholder pocket specifications.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw - do not overtighten, as this can fracture the insert. Inspect the toolholder pocket for debris or wear before seating the insert. Ensure the insert is fully seated and flush before resuming cutting operations.
