The DIVERSITECH rib2401b is a power control relay designed for HVAC and building automation applications requiring reliable switching of lighting, fan, and motor loads. It features a SPDT contact configuration rated at 20 amps resistive and accepts coil voltages of 24 or 120 volt AC as well as 24 volt DC at 50 to 60 Hz, making it adaptable to a wide range of low-voltage control circuits. The relay is housed in a NEMA 1 enclosure and carries UL 916/864, CUL, CE, and dual UL listings for both Canada and the United States. It is typically installed by licensed HVAC technicians and electrical contractors in commercial and light commercial control panels.
This relay is suited for residential and commercial HVAC systems, lighting control panels, and building automation equipment where a low-voltage signal must switch a higher-voltage load circuit. The included LED indicator allows technicians to confirm coil energization without additional test equipment. The unit ships with a 16-inch, 600-volt rated wire lead and a 0.50-inch threaded nipple for conduit mounting, supporting clean panel and junction-box installations. A motor rating of 2 HP and a pilot duty rating of 1110 VA extend its use to motor-starting and fire control relay applications.
Designed as an OEM-style power control relay for residential and commercial HVAC, lighting, and building automation control panels where a SPDT relay with 24-volt or 120-volt coil input is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out all circuits before wiring coil or contact terminals. The 0.50-inch threaded nipple allows direct conduit connection to a junction box or control panel enclosure. Verify coil voltage matches the control circuit before energizing, and confirm contact load ratings are not exceeded for the connected load type.
