The DIVERSITECH P142-2424 is a molded plastic equipment pad designed to provide a stable, weather-resistant mounting surface for HVAC condensing units and other mechanical equipment. Measuring 24 inches by 24 inches with a 2-inch thickness, the pad elevates equipment above grade to protect against ground moisture, standing water, and surface deterioration. Constructed from gray plastic, it resists corrosion and UV exposure without the cracking or spalling associated with poured concrete pads. HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors install this pad as part of standard condensing unit placement on residential and light commercial job sites.
The P142-2424 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC installations where a pre-formed, ready-to-set equipment pad is preferred over field-poured concrete. It is commonly placed beneath split-system condensing units, heat pumps, mini-split outdoor units, and similar mechanical equipment requiring a level, elevated base. The fixed 24 x 24-inch footprint fits the majority of standard residential condensing unit bases, and the 2-inch rise provides adequate clearance from typical grade-level water pooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation equipment pad suitable for residential and light commercial HVAC condensing units and mechanical equipment with a base footprint at or within 24 x 24 inches.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. The mounting surface should be level, compacted, and capable of supporting the combined weight of the pad and the equipment being mounted. Disconnect and lock out all power to the unit before performing any service on equipment already in place. Verify local mechanical codes for any additional requirements regarding equipment elevation, anchoring, or pad material.
