The DIVERSITECH MDS38 is a straight-type metal clad cable connector designed to terminate armored or metal clad cable into steel electrical boxes and enclosures. Built from die-cast zinc and steel with a plastic insulated throat, this connector uses a double snap-lock installation method that requires no tools for attachment or removal. The 3/8 inch trade size fits a single cable or conduit entry. Its one-piece square grip design seats firmly and holds the cable securely once snapped into position. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors use this connector during rough-in and finish wiring on both residential and light commercial projects.
The MDS38 is suited for installations where armored cable or metal clad cable must be terminated at steel junction boxes, panel enclosures, or electrical cabinets. The double snap-lock mechanism allows the fitting to seat in a single motion, and the insulated throat protects cable insulation at the point of entry. The connector is reusable and can be removed without tools, which is useful during rough-in stages when box locations may change. It is sold in a standard package quantity of 500 units, making it practical for volume electrical work on larger projects or for distributor stock.
Designed for connecting 3/8 inch trade size armored cable or metal clad cable to steel electrical boxes and enclosures. Compatible with standard knockout openings sized for 3/8 inch trade size fittings.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 330 or 320 as applicable to the cable type. De-energize all circuits and verify zero voltage at the enclosure before beginning any termination work. Snap the cable into the connector body first, then snap the assembled fitting into the knockout opening on the steel box until it seats. Do not use this connector with non-metallic boxes or with cable types outside the armored and metal clad cable categories.
