The DIVERSITECH DIVE-6217 is an insulated butt connector designed for secure wire splicing in electrical and HVAC applications. Sold in a pack of 27, these crimp-style connectors accommodate 16-14 AWG wire and eliminate the need for soldering. The insulated barrel provides electrical isolation between the joined conductors, reducing the risk of shorts in both open and enclosed wiring runs. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and electrical contractors reach for these when making quick, reliable inline wire splices during system installation, repair, or extension work.
These connectors are suited for residential and light commercial electrical work where 16-14 AWG wire is standard. Common applications include control wiring in HVAC systems, low-voltage circuit splices, field repairs on damaged wire runs, and wire extensions in panel or junction box work. The crimp termination method provides a mechanically secure and electrically consistent connection without heat tools or solder.
Designed as a standard crimp-style inline splice connector for use with 16-14 AWG copper wire in residential and commercial electrical and HVAC control wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit completely before making any wire connections. Strip wire ends to the appropriate length, insert fully into the connector barrel, and crimp firmly using a proper ratcheting or hand crimp tool rated for insulated terminals. Do not use pliers as a substitute for a dedicated crimp tool, as an improper crimp can result in a high-resistance or mechanically weak joint.
