The DIABLO DMAPLA4400-S6 is a 1/4-inch diameter, 9-inch overall length SDS-Plus hammer drill bit engineered for drilling clean, precise holes in both plain and reinforced concrete. The full carbide head uses a 4-cutter tungsten carbide design that takes controlled bites through rebar, reducing vibration and delivering up to 7 times longer service life compared to standard bits. Dura-Carbide construction withstands heat up to 1800 degrees F, well above the 800 degrees F threshold where conventional bits typically fail. Each bit includes a steel sleeve for integration with a compatible dust extraction adapter, removing up to 97 percent of concrete dust and debris during drilling. Sold as a 5-pack.
This bit is built for licensed concrete and masonry tradespeople working on anchor-setting applications in reinforced concrete slabs, walls, and overhead structures. The 4-inch working length and 1/4-inch diameter suit standard epoxy and mechanical anchor installations. The integrated dust extraction capability makes it well-suited for interior environments where airborne silica dust exposure is a compliance concern. Epoxy or anchor placement can proceed immediately after drilling without a separate blow-brush-blow cleaning cycle, cutting hole preparation time significantly.
Designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammer drills. Dust extraction capability requires the Snap-Lock Adapter, sold separately. Suitable for anchor-setting applications in reinforced and plain concrete.
Installation should be performed by qualified concrete or masonry tradespeople familiar with SDS-Plus tooling and anchor-setting procedures. Disconnect power to the rotary hammer before inserting or removing bits. Follow applicable OSHA silica dust exposure guidelines and use engineering controls, including the dust extraction adapter, when drilling in enclosed spaces. Verify anchor manufacturer specifications for hole diameter and depth tolerances before beginning work.
