The DEXTER COMMERCIAL C1000STRMR626SFIC is a Grade 1 storeroom cylindrical lock designed for commercial door applications requiring controlled, single-sided access. It ships with regular trim in a satin chrome (626) finish and features a 2.75-inch backset with an ANSI 1.25-inch by 4.875-inch curved lip strike included. The lock accommodates Schlage C cylinders as 6-pin configurations and is SFIC-ready, accepting both 6-pin and 7-pin small format interchangeable core inserts. UL listed for 3-hour fire door assemblies, this unit is installed by commercial locksmiths and door hardware technicians on standard commercial hollow metal or wood doors.
This cylindrical lock is suited for storeroom and commercial access control applications where the exterior lever or knob remains locked at all times and entry is gained only by key. Typical installations include supply rooms, stockrooms, server closets, and similar restricted-access spaces in commercial, institutional, and light industrial settings. The SFIC cylinder prep makes it compatible with large master key programs that use small format interchangeable core systems. Door thickness compatibility spans 1.375 inches to 2 inches, fitting the majority of standard commercial door slabs.
Designed for doors ranging from 1.375 inches to 2 inches in thickness. Backset is 1.125 inches by 2.75 inches, conforming to ANSI standards. SFIC prep accepts standard 6-pin and 7-pin small format interchangeable cores. Cylinder accommodation includes Schlage C 6-pin cylinders.
Installation should be performed by a licensed commercial locksmith or qualified door hardware technician familiar with ANSI cylindrical lock prep standards. Verify door thickness and backset prep before installation; this lock requires a standard ANSI cylindrical bore. Disconnect any electric access control wiring and ensure the door is secure and stationary before beginning work. Consult the manufacturer installation sheet for proper strike alignment and cylinder insertion procedures specific to SFIC cores.
