Deltana MS211U26D Mail Slot 13.5 in Satin Chrome

Product Description

The DELTANA MS211U26D is a residential-grade mail slot with an interior frame, finished in satin chrome. Designed for installation in exterior doors, this mail slot provides a clean, professional letter opening with a matching interior frame that finishes the inside face of the door. The unit measures 13.5 inches in length, 4 inches in width, and 1.2 inches in height, and ships at 1.2 pounds. The satin chrome finish delivers a brushed, low-gloss appearance suited to modern and transitional door hardware sets. Intended for installation by carpenters, general contractors, or experienced door hardware technicians.

This mail slot is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where a through-door mail delivery opening is required. It suits standard wood or solid-core exterior doors and is sold as a single unit. The interior frame component covers the rough cutout on the interior face of the door, providing a finished look on both sides without requiring a separate trim piece. It is compatible with doors of sufficient thickness to accommodate the full assembly depth.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a carpenter or door hardware technician using a jigsaw or hole saw to cut the door opening to the manufacturer-specified dimensions before mounting the slot. Ensure the door is removed or secured before cutting, and verify door thickness is sufficient to accommodate both the exterior slot and interior frame. Follow all applicable local building codes for exterior door hardware. Do not install on hollow-core doors unless the door manufacturer confirms adequate substrate for fastening.
