The DELTA FAUCET T17289-CZ-PR is a dual-function shower trim kit in Lumicoat Champagne Bronze finish, designed for use with Delta MultiChoice Universal pressure-balanced valve bodies sold separately. The trim kit includes a 2-in-1 In2ition shower head and detachable hand shower on a hose, allowing water delivery from the head only, the hand shower only, or both simultaneously. H2Okinetic technology sculpts water into a wave pattern that delivers broader coverage and a warmer feel compared to a standard fixed head. The Monitor pressure-balanced valve cartridge is included and protects against sudden temperature shifts caused by pressure fluctuations elsewhere in the plumbing system. Licensed plumbers and qualified installers handle this type of trim kit in residential bath applications.
The T17289-CZ-PR is built for residential shower installations where a MultiChoice Universal rough-in valve body is already in place or is being installed concurrently. Delta recommends pairing this trim with rough-in valve model R10000-UNBXHF, sold separately. The five spray settings on the shower head include H2Okinetic PowerDrench, full body spray, massage spray, soft waterfall spray, and pause. The detachable hand shower can be used docked in the wall mount or removed and held independently, making it practical for bathing assistance and targeted rinsing. The Lumicoat finish resists mineral buildup and hard water staining without requiring chemical cleaners, and the spray holes are designed for easy manual wipe-down of calcium and lime deposits.
Designed for use with Delta MultiChoice Universal pressure-balanced shower valve bodies. The manufacturer recommends rough-in valve model R10000-UNBXHF to complete the installation. Valve body is not included with this trim kit.
This trim kit is installed by a licensed plumber or qualified bath installer after the rough-in valve body is set in the wall and the system is pressure-tested. Shut off water supply to the shower circuit before beginning trim installation. Follow local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) as applicable for shower valve trim work. Do not overtighten plastic trim components; hand-tighten and verify for leaks before closing the wall.
