The DE-STA-CO 861 is a pneumatic hold down toggle clamp designed for industrial workholding applications requiring high clamping force and repeatable positioning. Powered by a 2.0-inch cylinder bore and supplied with air at up to 125 psi, it delivers a holding capacity of 3,000 pounds with a maximum mechanical advantage of 5:1. The bar opens to 90 degrees, providing clear access to the workpiece during load and unload cycles. A 3/8 NPT port connects directly to a standard pneumatic supply line. A magnetic ring is included for cylinder position sensing. Licensed HVAC, industrial maintenance, and fixture-build technicians working in manufacturing or fabrication environments are the primary installers of this clamp.
The DE-STA-CO 861 is suited for vertical mounting on jigs, fixtures, and welding positioners in production environments where manual clamping is impractical or cycle time is critical. The 11.31-inch height under bar accommodates workpieces of substantial thickness, and the 12.44-inch overall closed length fits standard fixture plate footprints. The 1.25-inch length distance between mount holes and 2.19-inch width distance between mount holes allow bolt-down installation to common tooling plate layouts. This clamp is used in automotive, aerospace, and general metal fabrication lines where consistent, repeatable hold down force is required.
Designed as an OEM-style pneumatic hold down toggle clamp for vertical-mount industrial fixture and jig applications requiring a 3/8 NPT air supply connection and a 3,000 lb hold down rating.
Installation is performed by qualified fixture builders, tool and die technicians, or industrial maintenance mechanics. Before servicing or repositioning the clamp, depressurize the pneumatic supply line and verify the cylinder is fully retracted. Mount using appropriately rated fasteners through the 0.34-inch mounting holes in accordance with the fixture design load requirements. Pneumatic connections should conform to applicable OSHA and ANSI machine guarding standards for industrial tooling.
