The DE-STA-CO 8115 is a pneumatic swing clamp designed for fixture and workholding applications in industrial assembly and machining environments. It operates on a single-acting, air-powered cylinder that drives a clamping arm through a right-hand swing arc before applying a rated clamping force of 24.73 pounds (110 newtons). The body measures 3.37 inches in length and 0.75 inches in diameter, making it a compact block-style unit suited for tight fixture layouts. The total stroke is 0.85 inches, with a vertical stroke component of 0.3819 inches. Operating pressure range runs from 30 to 130 psi. The unit includes a clamping arm and spindle. Installation and setup are handled by manufacturing engineers, automation technicians, and fixture builders.
The 8115 is used in surface-mounted workholding fixtures on CNC machining centers, welding positioners, and assembly jigs. Its right-hand swing direction is selected based on fixture layout and part-loading clearance requirements. The block-style body allows direct surface mounting without a separate adapter. The 10-32 port size accommodates standard pneumatic fittings common in small-bore automation circuits. This clamp is suited for low-force, high-cycle clamping tasks where a compact footprint and lightweight construction are priorities.
Compatible clamping arms include DE-STA-CO 801528 Standard Clamping Arm, 801529 Standard Clamping Arm, 801530 T-Style Clamping Arm, 801531 T-Style Clamping Arm, and 801532 Blank Clamping Arm. The unit ships with one clamping arm and spindle included.
Installation is performed by qualified automation technicians or fixture engineers. Shut off and exhaust all pneumatic pressure to the circuit before mounting or servicing the clamp. Ensure the swing direction and arm style are confirmed against the fixture layout before final assembly. Follow applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements and the fixture manufacturer's specifications for mounting torque and port fitting selection.
