The DE-STA-CO 7-101 is a manual hold-down toggle clamp designed for vertical clamping applications where consistent, repeatable workpiece control is required. Built from carbon steel with a zinc finish, it delivers a rated holding capacity of 475 pounds (2,110 newtons). The solid bar design with a closed bar end provides positive workholding contact, and the flanged base allows secure four-hole mounting to fixtures, jigs, and welding tables. With 80 degrees of handle movement and 80 degrees of bar opening, the clamp cycles quickly without requiring tool changes or repositioning. Machinists, welders, and fixture builders are the primary installers of this clamp in production and tooling environments.
This clamp is suited for use on machine fixtures, assembly jigs, welding positioners, and workholding stations in both light manufacturing and production settings. The flanged base accommodates direct bolting to flat fixture plates. The straight handle orientation supports ergonomic operation in tight fixture layouts where overhead or side access is limited. Its compact overall footprint makes it a practical choice for multi-clamp fixture designs where spacing between clamps is constrained.
Designed as a direct-mount vertical hold-down toggle clamp for use on flat-base fixture plates, welding tables, assembly jigs, and production tooling where four-hole flanged mounting and a 475 lb holding capacity are required.
Installation is performed by machinists or fixture builders using standard fasteners through the four flanged base mounting holes. Power down or de-energize any associated machinery before mounting or adjusting clamps on active fixtures. Verify that the mounting surface is flat and that all four mounting holes are fully engaged to prevent rocking under load. Do not exceed the rated holding capacity, and confirm the bar-to-workpiece contact point is properly adjusted before putting the fixture into production use.
