The DE-STA-CO 5910-B is a manual hold-down toggle clamp designed for vertical clamping applications in industrial workholding, fixturing, and assembly operations. Built from forged alloy steel throughout, it delivers a holding capacity of 1,600.64 lb (7,120 N) with a solid bar and solid base configuration. The straight red handle moves through 71 degrees of travel, and the bar opens to 132 degrees, giving operators consistent, repeatable clamping action. With a height under bar of 1.75 inches and an overall height of 8.72 inches, this clamp fits standard fixture plates and jig setups. It weighs 2.3 pounds and carries an oxide finish coating for corrosion resistance. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This clamp suits vertical hold-down applications in production machining, welding fixtures, assembly jigs, and general industrial workholding. The solid base mounts directly to fixture plates or workbenches. The solid closed-end bar applies direct downward clamping force on workpieces. It is appropriate for both light production and repetitive-cycle operations where consistent clamping force and quick release are required. The compact base footprint makes it usable in tight fixture layouts where space between clamps is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style hold-down toggle clamp for vertical workholding applications on standard fixture plates, jig tables, and welding positioners where a solid base mount and solid bar configuration are specified.
Installation is performed by machinists, toolmakers, or fixture technicians using standard hand tools. The solid base should be secured to the fixture plate with fasteners appropriate to the base hole pattern before applying any clamping load. Verify that the over-center lock engages fully before cycling the clamp under load. Inspect the toggle linkage and pivot pins periodically for wear in high-cycle applications.
