The DE-STA-CO 341-R is a horizontal pull-action latch clamp rated at 2,000 lb (8,896 N) of load capacity, built from carbon steel for durability in demanding industrial and manufacturing environments. The clamp features a threaded U-Hook bar, a straight red handle, and a flanged base for secure surface mounting. With a drawing movement of 2.5 inches and an overall length of 8.2 inches, it is sized for fixture, jig, and workholding applications where a positive pull-latch action is required. Licensed trades and fixture builders install this clamp to secure workpieces or panels in production tooling, welding fixtures, and assembly lines.
The 341-R is suited for horizontal clamping installations in light industrial, automotive, and fabrication settings. Its flanged base mounts directly to flat surfaces using standard fasteners through 0.33-inch diameter mounting holes, with width and length hole spacings of 1.5 inches and 1.63 inches respectively. The included latch plate and patented Toggle Lock Plus mechanism provide a secure, vibration-resistant hold once engaged, making it appropriate for applications where unintended release cannot be tolerated.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for industry number 331-R pull-action latch clamp applications requiring a horizontal U-Hook configuration with flanged base mounting.
Install using appropriately rated fasteners through the flanged base mounting holes; ensure the mounting surface is flat and rigid to maintain rated load capacity. Before servicing or repositioning the clamp in an active fixture or machine, de-energize or lock out any associated equipment per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Adjust the threaded U-Hook to achieve proper engagement with the latch plate before applying full load. Installation is typically performed by fixture builders, tooling technicians, or maintenance trades familiar with workholding hardware.
