The DE-STA-CO 210-25 is a manual hold-down toggle clamp designed for vertical clamping applications requiring reliable, repeatable workholding force. It delivers a holding capacity of 600 lb (2670 N) through a straight-handle, over-center toggle mechanism that locks securely in the down position. The clamp features a U-bar with a fixed spindle, a flanged base for rigid four-hole mounting, and an electro-plated zinc finish on carbon steel construction for corrosion resistance. Handle movement spans 58 degrees and the bar opens to 103 degrees, providing sufficient clearance for part loading and unloading in production fixtures, jigs, and assembly stations.
This clamp is suited for light industrial and manufacturing environments where consistent clamping force is needed on workholding fixtures, welding positioners, drilling jigs, and fabrication tables. The flanged base and four-point mounting pattern provide a stable footprint on metal tooling plates and fixture bases. The included hardware package - two flanged washers, two nuts, and a 3/8-16 spindle - allows direct installation without sourcing additional fasteners. The 3-1/4 inch spindle with 2.35 inches of travel accommodates workpiece height variation within the fixture.
Designed as a standard OEM-style hold-down toggle clamp suitable for use with metal tooling plates, fixture bases, and workholding systems that accommodate a flanged four-hole base mount with a 1.25 inch by 1.77 inch hole spacing pattern.
Installation is typically performed by machinists, toolmakers, or fixture builders using standard hand tools. Mount the flanged base to a rigid surface using appropriate fasteners through the four 0.33-inch mounting holes before applying any clamping load. Verify that the spindle height is adjusted to achieve full over-center travel on the workpiece - the clamp must reach the locked position to develop rated holding capacity. De-energize or shut down any associated machinery before adjusting or replacing clamps in a production fixture.
