The DE-STA-CO 2013-U is a manual hold-down toggle clamp designed for horizontal clamping applications in fixture, jig, and workholding setups. It delivers a 295 lb (1310 N) holding capacity through a straight, red-handled lever mechanism that moves through 58 degrees of travel, opening the U-bar to 71 degrees for workpiece loading and unloading. The U-bar features a fixed M5x0.8 spindle with 0.83 inches of spindle travel, allowing fine adjustment of clamping height. Built from carbon steel with a zinc finish coating, the 2013-U is a compact, flanged-base clamp suited for light-duty production and inspection environments. Licensed HVAC and industrial maintenance technicians, machinists, and assembly line operators are the typical installers.
The 2013-U is used in horizontal hold-down applications where a low-profile, flanged base mount is required. Its compact overall length of 5.87 inches and overall height of 2.02 inches make it well-suited for tight fixture assemblies. The flanged base measures 1 inch in length and 1.06 inches in width with four mounting holes sized at 0.17 inches in diameter, allowing direct bolting to fixture plates or work surfaces. A height under the bar of 0.75 inches accommodates thin workpieces in production jigs, welding fixtures, and light assembly stations.
Designed as an OEM-style hold-down toggle clamp for use in standard horizontal fixture and jig applications requiring a flanged base mount and U-bar clamping arm.
Installation is performed by machinists, fixture builders, or maintenance technicians using standard hand tools. Power down or de-energize any automated equipment before mounting or adjusting the clamp. Secure the flanged base through all four mounting holes to prevent rocking under load. Adjust the fixed spindle and locking nuts to set the correct clamping height before placing the assembly into service.
