The DAYTON LAMINA HJB 50 475 M2 is a solid mold die blank punch from the Jektole (HJB) Series, designed for precision blanking operations in metal stamping and die making applications. Built from M2 grade high-speed steel and hardened to 60-63 HRC, this punch delivers the wear resistance and edge retention demanded by production tooling environments. The ball lock retention system provides secure seating in the punch holder, reducing setup time and minimizing the risk of punch migration during press cycles. With a 0.5-inch shank diameter and a 4.75-inch overall length, it is sized for standard mold and die configurations used in industrial tooling shops.
This blank punch is intended for use in stamping dies, progressive dies, and mold tooling setups where a solid, un-machined punch body is required prior to grinding or EDM finishing. It is well suited for tool and die makers who rough-machine or finish-grind punch profiles to custom specifications. The Jektole (HJB) Series is a recognized standard in die component tooling, commonly specified in OEM and production stamping environments. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed as a solid blank punch replacement or new tooling component for Jektole (HJB) Series die sets and compatible ball lock punch retainer systems used in standard stamping and progressive die assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tool and die maker or toolroom technician familiar with press tooling and die component assembly. Ensure the press is fully de-energized and the ram is blocked before replacing or installing any punch components. The blank punch body requires finish machining or grinding to the required profile before placing the die into service. Verify ball lock engagement and punch seating depth against the die design specifications prior to press startup.
