The DAYTON LAMINA HJB 100 350 M2 is a solid mold die blank punch designed for precision stamping and die-making operations. Built from M2 grade high-speed steel and heat-treated to a hardness of 60-63 HRC, this punch delivers consistent performance in demanding tooling environments. The ball lock retention system secures the punch firmly in the holder, reducing slippage during high-cycle press runs. With a 1-inch shank diameter and a 3.5-inch overall length, it suits a range of standard die sets used in metal fabrication and tooling shops.
This blank punch is part of the Jektole (HJB) Series and is intended for use in solid mold die applications where a machinable blank is required. Toolmakers and die shop technicians typically grind or machine the working end to a custom profile. The minimum machinable length of 0.5 inches provides adequate stock for profiling. The 0.0625-inch pin extension length is consistent with standard ball lock punch retainer systems used across the industry.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and tooling blank for standard ball lock punch retainer systems used in solid mold die sets within metal stamping and fabrication applications.
Installation and machining of this punch should be performed by qualified toolmakers or die technicians. Ensure the press is fully de-energized and the ram is blocked before removing or installing any tooling components. The blank end must be ground or machined to the required profile before use in a live die set. Follow applicable shop safety standards and tool manufacturer guidelines when handling hardened tool steel components.
