The DAYTON LAMINA 9-1224-11 is a light-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, punch presses, and precision tooling applications. It features a 3/4-inch hole diameter, a 3/8-inch rod diameter, and a free length of 6 inches. Manufactured from chromium-vanadium steel, this spring delivers consistent force and reliable fatigue resistance over repeated compression cycles. The green color coding follows the ISO 10243 standard for light-duty classification, making visual identification fast and reliable on the shop floor. Licensed tool-and-die technicians and machine builders are the primary installers.
This die spring is suited for light-duty tooling applications in stamping, forming, and stripping operations. Its D-shaped wire cross-section provides a higher contact surface area compared to round wire, improving load distribution and spring life. With a maximum deflection of 2.39 inches and a travel-to-solid load of 3.17 inches, it fits standard die-set configurations where controlled, repeatable spring-back force is required. The 40 percent maximum operating deflection rating helps engineers and technicians size it correctly within tool design parameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install die spring for light-duty stamping and forming dies requiring a 3/4-inch hole diameter, 3/8-inch rod diameter, and 6-inch free length per ISO 10243 specifications.
Die springs should be installed by qualified tool-and-die technicians or machine builders familiar with press tooling. Always de-energize and lock out the press before servicing any die components. Do not compress the spring beyond the rated 40 percent maximum operating deflection to avoid premature set or failure. Inspect the spring seat and rod for wear or misalignment before installation to ensure concentric loading.
