The DAYTON LAMINA 9-1207-36 is an extra heavy-duty die spring engineered for high-load tooling and stamping die applications. Built from chromium-vanadium steel with a D-shaped wire cross-section, it delivers a maximum deflection load of 400 pounds at a maximum deflection of 0.43 inches. The spring has a free length of 1.75 inches, a hole diameter of 0.75 inches, and a rod diameter of 0.375 inches. Color-coded yellow in accordance with ISO 10243, it is sized and rated for consistent, repeatable performance in precision die sets. Installation and maintenance are handled by tool and die makers or industrial maintenance technicians.
This die spring is suited for use in stamping dies, press tooling, molds, and other industrial fixtures requiring controlled return force. The extra heavy-duty rating makes it appropriate for high-cycle press operations where standard or medium-duty springs would fatigue prematurely. With a travel-to-solid load of 0.50 inches and a maximum operating deflection of 25 percent of free length, it fits applications where both load capacity and deflection travel must stay within tight engineering tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for industrial die sets and press tooling requiring a 0.75 inch hole diameter, 0.375 inch rod diameter, and 1.75 inch free length extra heavy-duty die spring conforming to ISO 10243 dimensions.
Installation is typically performed by tool and die makers during die assembly or scheduled maintenance. Before servicing a die set, ensure the press is locked out and tagged out in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum operating deflection of 25 percent of free length during installation or operation. Verify hole and rod clearances match the spring dimensions before pressing the die set into service.
