The DAYTON LAMINA 9-0606-36 is an extra heavy-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, press tooling, and other high-load industrial applications. It features a 3/8-inch hole diameter, a 3/16-inch rod diameter, and a 1-1/2-inch free length. Constructed from chromium-vanadium steel with a D-shaped wire profile, this spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 45 pounds and a maximum deflection of 0.37 inches. The yellow color coding identifies it as an extra heavy-duty unit, consistent with ISO 10243 international standards. It is installed by toolmakers, die setters, and maintenance technicians working in metal stamping and press environments.
This die spring is suited for residential and industrial tooling applications where consistent, high-load spring force is required within compact die assemblies. It fits standard die sets where a 3/8-inch hole and 3/16-inch guide rod are used. The 1-1/2-inch free length makes it appropriate for tooling with limited vertical clearance. Maximum operating deflection is rated at 25 percent of free length, with a travel-to-solid load value of 0.45 inches. It is a direct-fit option for tooling that requires ISO 10243-compliant springs in the extra heavy-duty duty range.
Designed as an ISO 10243-compliant replacement die spring for standard tooling applications requiring a 3/8-inch hole diameter, 3/16-inch rod diameter, and 1-1/2-inch free length in the extra heavy-duty classification.
Die springs of this type are installed by qualified toolmakers or die setters during die assembly or maintenance. Always de-energize and lock out the press before servicing tooling components. Inspect the guide rod and die set bores for wear or damage before installing the new spring. Do not exceed the maximum operating deflection of 25 percent of free length during normal production cycles, as over-deflection will reduce fatigue life.
