The DAYTON LAMINA 6-16-64 is a steel die mold shoulder bushing designed for use in precision tooling and mold guide systems. With a 2.000-inch inside diameter and a demountable attachment method, this bushing provides consistent, repeatable alignment in high-cycle press and mold applications. The collar outside diameter measures 3.064 inches, and the body is constructed from steel for durability under the load and wear conditions typical of production tooling environments. Installation and removal are straightforward, making it well suited for maintenance-intensive tooling setups where components are serviced regularly. Licensed toolmakers and die maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This shoulder bushing is used in die sets, injection mold bases, and stamping tool assemblies where guided alignment between mold halves or die plates is required. The demountable design allows the bushing to be pressed out and replaced without scrapping the surrounding toolplate. It is appropriate for both prototype tooling builds and production mold maintenance. The non-self-lubricating, friction-type design is standard for applications where external lubrication is applied as part of the maintenance routine.
Compatible with clamp component 6-91-1 as noted in product specifications. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for die sets and mold bases requiring a demountable steel shoulder bushing with a 2.000-inch inside diameter.
Installation is typically performed by toolmakers or die maintenance technicians using a hydraulic or mechanical press to seat the bushing flush within the toolplate bore. The toolplate and guide components should be de-energized and the press or mold should be fully locked out prior to bushing removal or installation. Ensure the bore is clean and within tolerance before pressing the bushing into position to avoid misalignment or bushing damage. External lubrication should be applied per shop maintenance standards before returning the tool to service.
