The DAP 790642 is a siliconized latex adhesive sealant formulated for kitchen and bathroom applications where a watertight, flexible seal is required. Based on a siliconized latex formula, it delivers strong adhesion to common surfaces found around sinks, tubs, countertops, and backsplashes. The product incorporates MoldGuard Antimicrobial Product Protection, which works against the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew on the cured sealant surface. It dries to the touch in 15 minutes and reaches full cure in 24 hours, allowing crews to complete work without extended downtime. The sealant remains permanently flexible after cure and is paintable, making it practical for finish work in residential interiors.
This sealant is intended for indoor use in kitchens and bathrooms. It is suited for sealing gaps around sinks, faucets, tub surrounds, countertop edges, and similar wet-area joints where moisture resistance and adhesion flexibility are priorities. Application is rated for temperatures between 40 degrees F and 100 degrees F, and the cured sealant performs across a service temperature range of -20 degrees F to 150 degrees F. The 5.5 oz container yields approximately 30 linear feet of coverage at a 3/16-inch bead. It is appropriate for plumbers, tile setters, and finish contractors working on residential interior projects.
Designed for indoor kitchen and bathroom sealant applications on surfaces typically found in residential interiors, including tile, ceramic, porcelain, fiberglass, and similar non-porous or semi-porous substrates common in wet-area installations.
Surface must be clean, dry, and free of old sealant, grease, and loose material before application. Apply only when ambient and surface temperatures are between 40 degrees F and 100 degrees F. Tool the bead immediately after application for proper joint contact and a finished appearance. Allow full 24-hour cure before exposing the joint to water or moisture.
