The DANCO 14641B is a replacement O-ring designed to stop leaks at faucet spouts and valve bodies in residential plumbing systems. Measuring 2 inches by 2.375 inches, this O-ring seats between moving or stationary components to create a watertight seal. Plumbers and experienced DIYers install this part as a low-cost fix when a worn or cracked O-ring is the source of dripping or seeping around the spout base. At 0.017 pounds, it is a lightweight, single-piece component sold individually.
This O-ring is used in residential faucet and valve repair applications where the existing O-ring has degraded due to age, mineral buildup, or repeated use. It is appropriate for sink faucets, bath faucets, and similar fixtures that rely on O-ring seals to prevent water from escaping around the spout or stem. Replacing the O-ring alone avoids the cost and labor of full fixture replacement.
Compatible with faucets and fixtures from American Brass, Aqualine, Arrowhead, Cuthbert, Cygnet, General Tire, Gerber, Grand Haven, Harcraft, Indiana, Jameco, Price Pfister, Savoy, Sayco, Sinclare, Speakman, Sterling, Teck, Valley, Waltec, and Western Brass.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified technician. Shut off the water supply to the affected fixture before beginning disassembly. Remove the faucet spout or valve cartridge to access the existing O-ring, then seat the replacement squarely in its groove before reassembly. Inspect adjacent seals and seats for wear while the fixture is open.
