The DAN-LOC BOLT GASKET 000-07-050 is a fully threaded stud machined from Grade B7 alloy steel with a plain uncoated finish. It carries a 7/8-9 UNC thread specification and measures 5 inches in overall length. Fully threaded along its entire length, this stud provides maximum engagement flexibility for through-bolted connections and double-nut configurations. Grade B7 alloy steel delivers high tensile strength suitable for demanding fastening applications in industrial, mechanical, and trade environments. HVAC riggers, pipefitters, and millwrights use studs of this type when assembling flanged connections, equipment bases, and structural mounting points where standard hex bolts are not practical.
This stud is suited for use in industrial and commercial settings where high-strength threaded fasteners are required. Common applications include flanged pipe assemblies, heat exchanger connections, structural steel mounting, and equipment skid fabrication. The 7/8-9 UNC thread size is a standard coarse-thread designation widely used across heavy mechanical and process-piping work. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers, though HVAC rigging crews also use Grade B7 studs for equipment mounting and vibration-isolated base assemblies.
Designed as a standard Grade B7 fully threaded stud for industrial and mechanical fastening applications requiring 7/8-9 UNC thread engagement.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, millwright, or mechanical contractor familiar with ASME and ASTM fastener torque requirements for the specific joint design. De-energize and depressurize any system before replacing or installing studs in flanged assemblies. Use a calibrated torque wrench and apply fastener lubricant per the joint specification - do not use impact tools to final-torque alloy studs. Follow applicable ASME B16.5 or ASME PCC-1 guidelines for flanged-joint bolt-up procedures.
