The DAN-LOC BOLT GASKET 000-05-055 is a fully threaded stud machined from Grade B7 alloy steel with a plain, uncoated finish. It features a 5/8-11 UNC thread form and measures 5-1/2 inches overall length. Fully threaded studs are used in bolted flange assemblies, piping systems, and structural connections where continuous thread engagement on both ends is required. The B7 material grade indicates high-strength, chromium-molybdenum alloy steel commonly specified in pressure vessel, heat exchanger, and industrial piping applications. Installation is typically performed by pipefitters, millwrights, or mechanical contractors working to ASME or ANSI fastener specifications.
This stud is suited for use in high-temperature and high-pressure bolted flange connections found in commercial and industrial mechanical systems. It is commonly paired with compatible heavy hex nuts in ASME B16.5 and B16.47 flange assemblies. Applications include process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and pump connections where elevated mechanical strength and temperature resistance are critical design requirements. The uncoated finish is standard for field-installed assemblies where thread lubrication or anti-seize compound is applied by the installer.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use fastener for industrial bolted flange assemblies requiring a 5/8-11 fully threaded stud in Grade B7 alloy steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or mechanical contractor following applicable ASME and ANSI fastener torque specifications for the flange class and service conditions. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before removing or installing studs in any pressurized piping or vessel assembly. Apply an appropriate anti-seize or thread lubricant to ensure accurate torque readings and prevent galling. Verify stud engagement depth and nut seating before returning the assembly to service.
