The DAN-LOC BOLT GASKET 000-04-065 is a fully threaded stud machined from Grade B7 alloy steel with a plain uncoated finish. It carries a 1/2-13 unified coarse thread along its entire 6.5-inch overall length, providing no shoulder or unthreaded shank. That full-thread design allows the stud to engage nuts or threaded holes at any point along its length, making it a reliable fastener for high-load bolted joint assemblies. The B7 material grade indicates a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel well-suited to elevated-temperature and high-stress applications. Trade professionals in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial piping use B7 studs to secure flanged connections, pressure vessels, and structural brackets.
This stud is commonly used in flanged piping assemblies, heat exchanger connections, pump mounting, and structural bolting where high tensile strength and temperature resistance are required. Its 1/2-13 thread pitch is a standard unified coarse specification, compatible with widely available hex nuts, flange nuts, and coupling nuts of the same thread designation. Residential and light commercial mechanical contractors as well as industrial maintenance technicians will find this stud appropriate for demanding bolted joint applications.
Designed as a standard-duty fully threaded stud for use with any 1/2-13 threaded nuts, couplings, or tapped components requiring a Grade B7 alloy steel fastener.
Installation is performed by licensed mechanical contractors or qualified maintenance personnel. De-energize, depressurize, and isolate the system before removing or installing fasteners in pressure-bearing assemblies, following applicable ASME and IFGC or IPC requirements. Use properly calibrated torque equipment to achieve the joint preload specified in the equipment or flange manufacturer documentation. Do not mix thread grades or finishes in a single bolted joint without verifying compatibility.
