The DAIKIN ftxm24vvju is a ductless mini-split indoor air handler designed for residential and light-commercial heating and cooling applications. It operates on inverter technology with PAM control for variable-capacity operation, allowing the system to match actual load conditions rather than cycling on and off at full capacity. The unit includes a titanium apatite air purifier, automatic changeover between heat and cool modes, and wide-angle louvers with vertical auto swing for even air distribution. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as part of a split-system installation paired with a compatible condensing unit.
The ftxm24vvju is suited for single-zone ductless installations in residential rooms, offices, server rooms, additions, and other spaces where ducted distribution is impractical. The system supports low ambient cooling down to 14 degrees F, with optional wind baffle accessory extending cooling capability down to 0 degrees F. Power and control wiring requires 208/230-volt single-phase supply with a 14/4 stranded, non-shielded wire configuration. Pre-charged condensing units are supported for refrigerant line runs of up to 33 feet.
Designed for use in DAIKIN ductless mini-split systems; compatible with pre-charged condensing units supporting up to 33 feet of refrigerant piping. Consult the DAIKIN product documentation or system submittal for specific matched outdoor unit model numbers.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with ductless split-system procedures and local mechanical and electrical codes. Disconnect all power at the breaker before any wiring or refrigerant line work. The indoor unit requires a 208/230-volt single-phase circuit with 14/4 stranded, non-shielded power and control wire. Refrigerant line connections should be made and leak-tested per the manufacturer installation manual before system startup.
