The DAIKIN FFA15AVJU9 is a 2x2 ceiling cassette indoor unit designed for ductless mini-split systems using R-32 refrigerant. Paired with the RXV15AVJU9 inverter condenser, the system delivers 14,400 BTU/h rated cooling and 16,200 BTU/h rated heating at a rated efficiency of 19.6 SEER2, 11.5 EER2, and 8.8 HSPF2. The unit mounts flush in a standard 2x2 ceiling grid, making it well suited for commercial and residential spaces where floor and wall space must stay clear. The BYFQ60C3W2W white panel is included with the unit. The BRC1NRV71 wired controller is required and sold separately. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians.
This cassette is sized at 1.25 tons nominal capacity and belongs to the Vista FFA series platform. At this capacity tier, the system steps up to a larger outdoor cabinet weighing 113 pounds, a gas line diameter of 1/2 inch, and a total piping run capability of 99 feet with up to 66 feet of vertical separation. That extended piping reach makes this size practical for installs where the condenser must be located a significant distance from the conditioned space, such as rooftop placements or multi-story commercial applications.
Designed to pair with the DAIKIN RXV15AVJU9 R-32 inverter condenser as part of the Vista series ductless mini-split system. The BRC1NRV71 wired controller is required for operation and is sold separately.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with R-32 refrigerant handling and local mechanical codes. Shut down and lock out all power to the system before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. R-32 is a mildly flammable refrigerant classified A2L; follow all applicable safety procedures and local code requirements for handling and containment. Verify ceiling structure can support the unit weight before mounting and confirm piping run lengths do not exceed system maximums prior to commissioning.
