Product Description

The CUSTOM BUILDING PRODUCTS LQWAF1-2 RedGard is a ready-to-use elastomeric waterproofing and crack prevention membrane for tile and stone installations. Applied by roller, trowel, or sprayer, it forms a continuous moisture barrier with strong adhesion to a range of substrates. As a waterproofing membrane, one gallon covers 35 to 40 square inches at 93 mil wet thickness and 47 mil dry thickness. As a crack prevention membrane, coverage extends to 110 square feet at 30 mil wet thickness. The product meets ANSI A118.10 for waterproofing membranes and the Uniform Plumbing Code specification for use as a shower pan liner. It is listed with IAPMO R and T, file No. 4344 UPC, and carries ICC-ES ER-6014 approval.

RedGard LQWAF1-2 is suited for both interior and exterior commercial and residential tile and stone installations. Approved substrates include concrete, cement backer boards, Wonderboard, exterior-grade plywood in interior dry areas for crack isolation only, exterior decks, and gypsum drywall. It can also serve as a slab-on-grade moisture barrier under resilient flooring when installed per the Custom E-Cap moisture barrier system technical bulletin.
