The CUSTOM BLDG PRODUCTS CTTSGQT is a pre-mixed, gray ceramic tile thin set mortar formulated for interior wall and floor tile installations. It requires no mixing on-site, which reduces labor time and eliminates the mess associated with powder-based mortars. The CTTSGQT exceeds ANSI A136.1 Type I standards and is suitable for bonding porcelain, stone, marble, granite, and ceramic tile. Coverage depends on trowel type: a V-Notch trowel at 3/16 inches by 5/32 inches yields approximately 10 to 11 square feet per unit, while a Square-Notch trowel at 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch yields approximately 5 to 6.25 square feet per unit. Tile installers and flooring contractors are the primary end users.
The CTTSGQT is designed for interior residential and light commercial tile applications on walls and floors. It supports tiles up to 8 inches by 8 inches under standard dry time, and tiles with one side up to 15 inches when extended dry time is observed. Suitable substrates include properly prepared interior wall and floor surfaces. Coverage figures do not include additional mortar required for back-buttering individual tiles, so installers should account for that when estimating material quantities for larger-format or natural stone applications.
Designed for interior wall and floor tile installations using porcelain, stone, marble, granite, or ceramic tile up to 8 inches by 8 inches, or with one side up to 15 inches when extended dry time is applied.
Tile installers should ensure the substrate is clean, flat, and structurally sound before applying this mortar. Power is not a factor for this product, but work area ventilation should be maintained per local requirements. Do not use on exterior surfaces or in wet immersion areas unless the product labeling and applicable codes confirm suitability. Refer to the Tile Council of North America installation guidelines and applicable local building codes for substrate preparation and coverage requirements.
