The CROWN 7008 is a zinc cold galvanizing compound packaged in a 16 oz aerosol can with a 13 oz net fill. It delivers a gray, zinc-rich coating that restores galvanic protection to bare, damaged, or corroded steel surfaces without the heat or equipment required by hot-dip galvanizing. The compound meets ASTM A 780-01 for repair of damaged and uncoated areas of hot-dip galvanized coatings. It is rated for use in temperatures from 50 degrees F to 122 degrees F and carries USDA food-grade approval, making it suitable for use in food-processing and agricultural environments. Licensed trade professionals and maintenance technicians apply it as a direct spray-on treatment.
This compound is used across a wide range of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications. Surface must be clean, dry, and free of loose rust, oil, and grease before application. Shake the aerosol can thoroughly and apply in thin, even coats per the product label instructions. Work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and chemical-resistant gloves. Follow all applicable OSHA and facility safety protocols when working on energized equipment or confined spaces.
